Almost a year on from the launch of the Certification in Investment Migration, we are seeing more and more practitioners, from all over the world, opting to get certified by the Investment Migration Council (IMC).  With 150 registrations over this past year, and more than 50 who already successfully completed the course, we can say that the Certification is getting the credit that it deserves and is reaching the industry’s expectations.

The general feedback is really positive – with well-established practitioners, with years of experience in the field, saying that this course is ideal and should be taken by anyone working in IM.  Tessy Ekpunobi, an IMC Member with over 10 years of experience described the course – as “an adventure of knowledge” – and that is a very interesting way of seeing such a learning journey.

The programme structure is in fact built in a way that it will take you through the different IM practices and focuses on how to better deal with standards-related issues – making sure that the industry is compliant with inevitable regulations.

  • Module 1- Citizenship and Residence by Investment
  • Module 2- Ethics, Conduct and Professional Standards in Investment Migration
  • Module 3 – Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime Prevention
  • Module 4 – Investor Migration – Know Your Customer and Customer Due Diligence
  • Module 5 – Personal Data: Management and Protection

The aim of this very specific 100% online course, is not only to provide you with verifiable evidence of competency, with the designation Cert (IM), which can be used to compliment your experience and other qualifications that you already have; but also, to help the industry on a wider scale, in gaining more credibility and enhancing its reputation. To do that we need to promote high professional standards and values – and what better way is there, if not by education and training?

E-learning is today’s way of learning! It’s the way forward! We’ve seen schools, colleges and universities close their doors and delivering lessons through online platforms. Whatever is happening out there nothing should stop us from enhancing our knowledge and career prospects. It is actually maybe the best time to upskill employees and have them readily prepared to push forward the business, when economies are back up and running.

The IMC, as the global non-profit organisation vested with improving standards within the citizenship and residency by investment industry, is now offering a discount for a limited time to anyone registering for the course – to encourage even more and more practitioners to join us on this journey.

Enhance your firm’s reputation and invest in your employees.  This will help you reduce risks in your firm by providing staff members with the necessary tools to work more efficiently. Alexander Zvarkovskiy, an IMC Member who completed the course earlier this year, confirms this by saying that he “certainly feels better equipped and more confident now to operate in this ever-changing industry.”
